PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated: 9 December 2025

Welcome to The Humble Warrior.
Your privacy, your data, and your sense of safety matter deeply here. This policy explains what personal information I collect, how I use it, and the choices you have over your data when you visit thehumblewarrior.co.uk (the “Website”).

I aim to keep this simple, transparent, and respectful — in alignment with UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and PECR.

1. Who I Am

The Humble Warrior
Website: https://thehumblewarrior.co.uk
Email: becky@thehumblewarrior.co.uk
(“I”, “me”, or “my” in this policy)

I am the data controller for the personal information you share with me.

2. What Personal Data I Collect

I collect information in the following ways:

a) Information you give directly

When you:

  • sign up for a free resource or download

  • purchase a product

  • join The Bothy

  • fill in a form

  • contact me via email

This may include:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Billing information (processed securely by third-party payment providers)

  • Any personal information you choose to share in messages

b) Automatically collected data (via cookies + analytics)

When you visit the Website, I may collect:

  • IP address

  • Device type

  • Browser type

  • Pages visited and time spent on site

  • Referring websites

Only non-essential cookies used:

  • Google Analytics

  • Meta Pixel (Facebook)

These help me understand how you use the Website so I can improve it and share offerings that are relevant to you.

No personally identifying information is collected through these cookies unless you explicitly provide it elsewhere.

3. How I Use Your Information

I use your data to:

  • deliver the products or services you purchase

  • send free resources you request

  • email you about updates, programmes, launches or content

  • understand how the Website is used (analytics)

  • improve offerings, user experience and marketing

  • comply with legal and accounting obligations

I will never sell your data.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Under UK GDPR, I rely on the following lawful bases:

  • Consent — for email marketing and non-essential cookies

  • Contract — to deliver products or services you’ve purchased

  • Legitimate Interests — for basic analytics and business operations

  • Legal Obligation — for financial records and compliance

You may withdraw consent at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in any email or by contacting me directly.

5. Cookie Policy

Cookies are small files placed on your device to help the Website function and understand how it’s being used.

a) Essential cookies (always active)

These are necessary for the Website to function (e.g., security, payment processing). They do not require consent.

b) Non-essential cookies (require consent)

I only use two forms of non-essential cookies:

1. Google Analytics

Purpose: understanding website traffic + user behaviour
What it collects: anonymised behaviour data (pages visited, time spent, device info)
Storage duration: varies (up to 2 years)

2. Meta Pixel (Facebook)

Purpose: tracking website traffic to improve ads and measure conversions
What it collects: user interactions, referrer, browser data
Storage duration: up to 180 days

These cookies only run after you provide consent on the cookie banner.

6. Cookie Consent

When you first visit the Website, you will see a cookie banner that allows you to:

  • Accept all cookies

  • Reject non-essential cookies

  • Manage preferences

Non-essential cookies (Google Analytics + Meta Pixel) will only activate if you choose to accept them.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by using the “Cookie Settings” link in the website footer (or by contacting me).

7. Third-Party Service Providers

I may share necessary information with:

  • Email marketing platforms (e.g., MailerLite/Klaviyo/etc.)

  • Payment processors (e.g., Stripe/PayPal)

  • Analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel)

  • Website hosting provider

These third parties are GDPR-compliant and only process data on my behalf.

8. How Long Your Data Is Kept

  • Email marketing data: until you unsubscribe

  • Payment data: 6–7 years (legal requirement)

  • Analytics data: up to 26 months

  • Account/membership data: as long as your subscription is active

  • Human Design Chart submissions: this information is not stored, only the email address is collected.

I only keep your information for as long as it’s needed.

9. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your data

  • Correct inaccurate data

  • Request erasure (“right to be forgotten”)

  • Restrict processing

  • Object to processing

  • Withdraw consent

  • Request a copy of your data

To exercise any of these rights, email me at: becky@thehumblewarrior.co.uk

10. Security

I take reasonable technical and organisational measures to keep your data safe, including secure hosting, HTTPS encryption, and limiting access only to essential tools.

11. Children's Privacy

This Website and my offerings are not intended for individuals under 18. I do not knowingly collect data from children.

12. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated occasionally. The “last updated” date at the top will always show the most recent version.
