Gates in Human Design: Simple ways to apply their wisdom

Gates in Human Design

The gates in Human Design are often overcomplicated, or over simplified. Either end of the spectrum ends up being a bit useless because it doesn’t tackle the practical application. We love to overcomplicate things us humans. Honestly, I’ve read SO MANY interpretations of these gates, from the original iching to the human design downloads from Ra Ura Hu, to the Gene Keys contemplations of the Gene Keys. There is SO MUCH information out there. And hey, I love information. It’s great. But it’s not particulary practial, is it?

It’s a bit like when you went to school. You learnt pythagorus, you know, to work out the length of triangles. And you thought, well that was interesting (maybe), but what does that mean, and how the hell does that help me in every day life? The gates are a bit like that.

If someone had told you pythagorus would be super useful for navigating the town centre when you’re running late and save you from going the long way round, or would help you with home improvements and DIY...now that would be useful! Practical application. Great! Instead, they just taught it in silos, maths never spoke to woodwork departments, you used it for an exam, and then never again in your life, or so you thought.

Well, I’m telling you now, the gates are helpful for navigating daily life. But you don’t need to know all the background unless you’re a 1 line, in which case, you lot enjoy delving deep. Instead, you need an affirmation to help you sit in the gift of that gate, rather than the shadow of it.

You can play with all these gates, or you can look up your Human Design chart on my website to see which gates you have access to (they’ll all be listed on either side of the chart).

Just use the affirmations. Write them down. Repeat them. See how they make you feel and what they change within you. And enjoy seeing a different perspective! Pst, you can also download this cheat sheet in PDF form here.
