Snowdrops Savasana Poem
Snowdrops mark the first signs that winter is ending and spring is on its way. They’re the leaders of the pack when it comes to waking up from hibernation, and let’s face it, we’re always happy to see them! Once those little green shoots poke up from the dead, brown leaves, it brings a smile to our face and heart.
This Snowdrops savasana poem is inspired by just that. The first snowdrops poking through and bringing hope and light. Use it at the start of end of your class, or even in yin poses as you hold for longer periods, to bring focus. The snowdrops savasana poem fits in perfectly with the theme of braveness, courage and following your purpose! These little beauties have a purpose… to mark the fact the dark days are coming to an end, and we can look towards the light! Enjoy.

Snowdrops | Savasana Poem
When all is dark and quiet and dead
There’s one brave soldier who rears his head
Breaking through the dust and dirt all around
He keeps building and growing without making a sound
The growth involved you may not notice for weeks
Until that little green shoot peeks up from the leaves
Nature’s own postcard signals the darkness is ending
And light will conquer all as the seasons begin changing
And although these little snowdrops signal life and light
There’s also a lesson there about what goes on out of sight
For the growth you didn’t notice was taking place before your eyes
“Seeing is believing” – well no, not all of the time…
